Tralee

Things to do in TraleeTralee is Ireland's newest visitor destination. Situated at the Gateway to the Dingle Peninsula and within 30 minutes drive from Killarney it is the ideal basefor exploring the world famous Kingdom of Kerry.

During the Middle Ages Tralee served as the capital of the powerful Munster Geraldines.

Today it has all the facilities of a capital town: historic buildings, spacious parks, good hotels and restaurants, excellent shopping and nightlife. Here you will find there is no shortage of things to do: a plummet down a giant waterslide, a guided tour through a medieval castle, a round of golf on a great course, a walk or bike ride in Europes quietest valleys and hills or a visit to a pub to enjoy a meal, a conversation with the friendly locals or the delight of a spontaneous traditional Irish music session.

Golf

Designed and built by Arnold Palmer, Tralee Golf Club in this stunning setting represents a true paradise for those willing to challenge what is widely acclaimed as one of the finest links courses in the world. Smitten at first sight, Palmer would later go on record with this memorable quote: “I may have designed the first nine, but surely God designed the back nine”. It comes as no surprise to learn that, due to the majestic beauty of this setting, Palmer choose it to be his first and, arguably, his finest golf course in Europe.

Golf TraleeTralee, in addition to boasting a clear view of the Atlantic Ocean from every hole, has a fully qualified resident professional, fully stocked Pro Shop, a spacious and comfortable restaurant and bar and it has earned a reputation for having a most friendly and relaxed atmosphere for members and visitors alike. A trip to Southwest Ireland could not be complete without playing this most precious and unpretentious of golfing jewels.

Paintballing

Paintball is a fast and furious sport played on a social and serious level by a large number of people around the world. Two teams (of up to 30 a side) are equipped with paintball markers.  These are basically low powered air-guns that fire small gelatin capsules filled with starch and food colouring, not real ‘paint’.

After a safety and mission briefing the teams are led out onto the field and, with the mission objectives in mind, the carnage begins. Your day will involve multiple military style scenarios on a variety of fields and terrain.

Paintballing Ireland Tralee The games are built around the use of teamwork and strategy, with opposing teams attempting to outwit and out manoeuvre their opponents.

Paintballing in Kerry is played on a 27-acre action zone just outside Tralee.
